It is 1938. James Lee Quatermain is a man of
numerous gifts, yet clutching cash isn't one of them. Quatermain isn't very
enthusiastic about escorting Jennifer Goodwin, a US operators and previous
partner of his, to an Egyptian sanctuary complex with a specific end goal to
recover an old curio – The Heart of Atlantis. Neither does he put stock in the
presumed animating characteristics of this relic, nor does he mind that a division
of the Ahnenerbe, the Nazi office had some expertise in the mysterious, is
after The Heart also. In any case, life has its methods for changing one's
point of view. Quatermain soon gets himself part of a chase over the globe –
from the stormy deserts of Egypt to the cold profundities of the Arctic and the
distance to the steaming wildernesses of Guatemala.
