Microchip to Acquire Rival Chipmaker Atmel for $3.56 Billion
Microchip Technology Inc. says it has an arrangement to get rival chipmaker Atmel for generally $3.56 billion (generally Rs. 24,192 crores) in real money and stock.

Atmel Corp., which is situated in San Jose, California, said it severed its merger with Dialog Semiconductor from September. It called Microchip's offer "predominant."

Microchip and Atmel say their assention is worth $8.15 (generally Rs. 553) per offer, or $3.4 billion (generally Rs. 23,105 crores), barring $155 million (generally Rs. 1,053 crores) in Atmel's money and ventures.

The arrangement has been endorsed by every organization's top managerial staff and is required to shut in the second quarter. Despite everything it needs the support of Atmel's stockholders.

Microchip said the joined organization is relied upon to produce $170 million (generally Rs. 1,155 crores) in reserve funds and expanded income starting in monetary 2019.

Chandler, Arizona-based Microchip makes semiconductors utilized as a part of an assortment of PCs and electronic gadgets.
